Marble drop

•I worked with Brandon.
•Our theme was the ocean.
•We came up with the idea because we thought it would be cool
•the most difficult thing was finding a way to get the marble drop to actually work and drop the marble in a cool/interesting way
•the marble goes down all the things then rolls off the star fish and lands in a shell.  We made our own tracks we used foam board and folded it in half and then slit the bottom.
•I would change my partner
•I a most proud of the painting on the outside of the box

Land art

•land art is art made from materials you can find on land
•I choose to make a swan out of an apple because I saw in on google and I thought it was cool
•I would never make an apple swan again because it was annoying to make.  It was to juicy and it turned brown right after I cut it

What you need for your blog:
- Photos of your work
- What medium did you use? and why?

I used clay, because I like clay and you never know what your outcome is going to be.
- What is your vessel supposed to hold?
My Vessel is a mug, it is supposed to hold hot liquids.
-Tell me about your process. (start to finish)
I rolled out 2 pieces of clay.  One piece I had to make really long because it had to be wrapped around the cup.  With the second piece I rolled out i made a small circle and that was what went on the bottom of the cup.  Then i had to take a rectangle of clay and a bucket of water and make a handle out of the clay for my mug.

Vessel: MUG

Vessel: BOX

- What medium did you use? and why?
I used clay, because I like clay and you never know what your outcome is going to be.
- What is your vessel supposed to hold?
My Vessel is supposed to hold sugar, because I also made a mug and they go together.
-Tell me about your process. (start to finish)
I rolled out 6 pieces of clay and rolled them out and I scored and slipped the edges and made them all stick together.  Then I rolled out another piece of clay and I cut them into 3 small squares and scored and slipped them to the top.

Pinch Pot: FISH

photo.JPG
This fish is a pinch pot a pinch pot is a pot is when you take 2 pieces of clay  and make them hollow open balls and connect them together with the score and slip method.  Then you need to have a hole in it somewhere so that it doesn't explode in the kiln.

Art Article: VAN GOGH PAINTING

Newly Discovered Van Gogh painting kept in Norwegian attic for years
A newly discovered Van Gogh painting was found in a Norwegian attic.  It has been there for years.  It was first by Christian Nicolai Mustad in 1908.  The French ambassador to Sweden came to look at the painted and he told Mustad that it must be a fake.  So Mustad put the painting in his attic and forgot about it.
Mustad died in1970.  The Van Gogh painting had been rejected twice and been called a fake.  But a letter was found and it was a letter written by Van Gogh describing the painting.  The painting is a really Van Gogh piece and an anonymous has it and will be displaying it in museums for all to see.
If I was Mustad I would have gotten the painting looked at by professionals and I would have to be absolutely positive that it was fake to sell it or something.  But if I ever found out it was real I’d sell it for thousands of dollars.
